Vivian has had some pretty good teachers and she's had two amazing ones. One of those two amazing teachers, a Colombian with the biggest smile in school, got married on Saturday to a surfer dude from East Texas. The kids and Jo were in California all week - I picked them up at the airport. We zipped home, changed, zipped back, and were a few moments late. The couple said their vows on a gently sloping meadow out in the country and then lit a unity wreath as the sun set in the west and a huge harvest moon rose in the east.
We had a good time. Jo and I danced till we were exhausted. Vivian found a friend from the sixth grade and they danced and jumped around on the floor. But it was Evan that had a great time. He "break danced" by himself most of the evening on the floor and that was very much fun. But then, towards the last hour, one by one, the young single teachers from his school got a hold of him and got him to dance with them. He seemed to enjoy it. He was actually impressed by some dance moves his current home room teacher made. Hope that helps him pay a little more attention in class.
