Evan gets a normal week of spring break. Vivian gets two. We spent the first few days of spring break at Grandma's.
The weather at Canyon Lake was brilliant. Evan learned to throw the frisbee. When he isn't proficient at something he says "I'm really bad at ..." and then refuses to do it. So it took a bit of work to get past this and bring him back to playing frisbee with me. Then we broke in his new hiking shoes with a walk down to the creek.
The kids got to see a movie with the Clark-Perrys (Wrinkle in Time - "best movie ever" according to Vivian), and spend some quality time in their cousins' trampoline.
And then we spent the better part of Friday getting to Costa Rica - most of that at Houston's Hobby airport. But we woke up in a hotel in San Jose on Saturday morning to a breakfast of fresh fruit and amazing Costa Rican coffee and drove off into the mountains for Vivian's spring break.
