I Love You

Praveen took this family portrait at our local landmark this morning. We are feeling mighty Austin about it. But I do wonder why the anonymous artist switched from cursive mid-sentence. A collaboration between two lovers?

Snaggletooth

Vivian has three dangly teeth. One of them is ready to go. On Saturday morning Jo told her that I would pull it out. By the time she arrived a few seconds later I quickly arranged whatever tools I could get my hands on.

When she saw them she ran screaming down the hall. Even Evan felt sorry and locked himself and her in the master bedroom. Jo went off and consoled Vivian and said that Daddy was joking and wasn't going to use the tools and she came back and let me tug at it with a paper towel.

It resisted my gentle tug but four hours later it fell out by itself.  Now she looks like she's from Arkansas.

By By George

This morning while Renuka and Jo browsed a store on South Congress Vivian and Evan played by By George. I just had to say that.

St. Eds

On Saturday morning we loaded the kids and Ava and Praveen and Renuka into our cars are drove down to St. Edward's Park. The creek was beautiful. And there were thick beds of bluebonnets in patches of sunshine. Vivian and Evan wore rain boots. Ava was wearing flops. Everyone got equally wet.

By the little dam in the deep water Jo spied something bright orange in the depths. She took a closer look and realized that it was a Ganesh. Someone decided that Bull Creek would make a good place was for the visarjan.
