Aaron and company (a.k.a "The Clark Family") are soon going to be off to Norway to drink akavitt for the Air Force. So we decide to go down to Florida to see his fini flight on the F-15. Vivian has seen the inside of a commercial aircraft before - a Bombardier CRJ to and from Detroit. She obviously needs some exposure to fighter jets.
It's a hot day - but there's a good breeze and the clouds start rolling in. There's a delay - a glitch with Aaron's jet - so we watch a couple of dozen other take-offs which keep us entertained. Here's a picture of Vivian wearing her French Foreign Legion's kepi blanc inspired hat to keep the sun off her face and neck.
Aaron's jet screams into the air with afterburners blazing - and Vivian and the rest of us cheer him on as he does some cool patterns. Here's Aaron taxing by us after landing. We drive over to the flight line and leave Vivian (and her hearing) in Dadu's care in the car. Here is Aaron and most of the fam hanging out under the F-15. Carol's holding on to the Champagne. We get back to the car and find Dadu and a hungry Vivian who isn't holding back. Should have left Dadu some ear protection. Eh, what? Too late for that...
