Happy dad's day

Jo says that the sailing trip was my father's day gift. That's fair.

Getting back from Taha'a, our last anchorage, to Austin took some doing. On Saturday morning we motor-sailed to Raiatea and returned the sailboat to the charter company. We spent the rest of the day at the hotel pool and took an evening flight to Tahiti. There we slept in a heap in a single king bed at the Sofitel hotel till we left for Papeete airport at 4am on Father's day, taking a nine hour Air France flight to Los Angeles. Followed by an airport hotel overnight stay in LA and the Monday morning flight to Austin.

My real Father's day gift was spending the last 48 hours in very close proximity of Vivian and Evan. That and everyone surviving it.
