Tea Party

So by the time I saw the kids on Saturday afternoon it had been a few hours and a second party since the face painting and much of it had worn off. Evan looked like a faded Frankenstein panda and Vivian like a new age hippie.

And they were still in that state when it was time for Taylor to sit them so Jo and I could go meet Gordon, Amanda, Travis and Jen for dinner downtown. Vivian had organized a tea party for Taylor. She had a sign up on the front door, an additional arrow pasted to a wall inside the house in case Taylor should lose her way between the front door and the back, and the stuff arranged neatly and carefully outside. Tea (made from fresh garden herbs), lemon juice freshly squeezed, apricots for snacks, and tiny cups, saucers, spoons and even place cards with names on them.
