RI

Our summer trips to Alu and Michelle are loads of fun. The kids get quality time with their uncle and aunt - rides on the lawn mower, playing the piano together, mixing and baking cookies, and more rounds of What Time is It Mr. Wolf than any one sane would be willing to play. Then they get to participate in the amazing scavenger hunt. We go to the beach a few times. And everyone eats tonnes of take out Chinese and Brickley's ice cream.

This year we did all that and more. Vivian drove the lawnmower instead of just riding on it. Michelle taught Evan almost a song a day on the piano. The scavenger hunt got more challenging - Vivian and Evan had to work together to get certain tasks done - like Vivian had to guide a blind-folded Evan through an obstacle course by giving him only verbal instructions. Alu and I worked on some vintage wine that he had from his days in California. JoEllen discovered a trail near the house and we walked a few times. We went to the New England Aquarium in Boston and went for dinner to the North End with Tiki and Himanshu. We went to the beach as often as we could. And we ate even more Brickley's ice cream than we usually do!
