Due to jetlag from a 11-hour time zone change, it's three weeks since Vivian has slept normally. She's getting over it and woke up at 645am this morning. She watched Backyardigans with Jo and then helped me fix breakfast. As she sat on my lap finishing the last few raisins in her oatmeal, she pointed to the floor and said: "This is a hardwood floor".
Mind you - not just "a wood floor" but "a hardwood floor". When she says things like that I have to dig deeper to find out where she got this new nugget of information. So I asked "How did you know it is hardwood?"
"Because I fell down on it".
