On Sunday morning Alu dropped us off at Providence airport at 630am. Our flight to Fort Lauderdale was delayed by 45 minutes because our crew had come in late last night on a delayed flight and the pilots needed to take their mandatory 10 hours of beauty sleep between flights. Which meant that we'd get 10 minutes in Fort Lauderdale to make our connection to Austin. Toit.
I got this photo of Block Island soon after we took off. We hugged the east coast down to North Carolina and I got great views of several major cities from my window seat on the starboard side. We reached Fort Lauderdale a few minutes ahead and ran over and made our connection to Austin with time to spare.
Evan sat next to me of the next leg and ate his snacks and slept a little and drooled on me. We reached Austin in good time. The thermometer in the car read 101 degrees. A warm welcome back.
