Grandpa came over for dinner yesterday. When dinner was served, Evan took it upon himself to try to lift Grandpa off the arm chair and bring him to the dining table. He said "Foo" (food) and grabbed my dad's arm and pulled at it with all his might.
Earlier in the evening, I had fixed an appetizer for my dad - one of his favorite all-time snack foods - puffed rice dry roasted with peanuts. It was a big hit with the kids too. They stood around Grandpa's armchair and helped him polish it off. I saw Evan putting handfuls of it into Grandpa's hands and then asking him to "ea" (eat).
