We were sitting and looking up at the dusk sky from my favorite rooftop restaurant in Hyderabad. Evan munched on garlic bread and nestled in Mommy's elbow. Vivian sipped her Shirley Temple and showed us the crescent moon. Jo pointed out a very bright Venus. As the sky grew darker more stars started to twinkle in. Vivian asked how many stars were there. I told her that we know there are more than a 100 billion galaxies each with hundreds of billions of stars in the observable universe. "Where do stars come from?", she asked. I considered giving her a made up story for a moment. Then I took a deep breath and gave her the 30 second spiel on star formation. She listened very intently.
And then she said "Daddy - I like talking about the universe with you".
