Back in Our WWH

On Friday afternoon, after decorating the tree and winterizing the house and saying our good byes, the party left Dawson and set sail for Texas. We drove on through Kansas where Jo rolled down the window while we were speeding down the turnpike to take this lovely photo of the evening sky. For the night we stopped in Norman, Oklahoma. By now Evan was feeling fully better but Vivian was down with the same symptoms.  A round of kiddy ibuprofen at night and a hot bath in the morning worked wonders. After breakfast, we drove for six hours non-stop to Austin (would have been five if it wasn't for construction on I35 between West and Salado). The kids did amazingly well.

We drove straight to China Cafe and picked up our dinner and then came to our White Wooden House to eat and unpack and get yelled at by Crazy. It was a very nice Thanksgiving in Dawson. And it is great to be back home. But not for long. Somewhere between Georgetown and Round Rock Jo said she wants to go to a beach soon.
