Last weekend was wide open. In fact there was absolutely nothing on our calendar for Saturday - which is downright weird. We ended up taking the kids to see a bilingual play ay the Zach - Tomas and the Library Lady. Then we walked around Auditorium Shores and even dropped in on a Summer Camp fair at the Palmer Events Center.
The next day, Sunday, Jo was at an off-site strategy meeting all day. The kids and I started at Taco Shack and Ramsey Park and then went over to Austin's newest rock climbing spot - the Austin Bouldering Project. It was amazing. Walls everywhere - 12 to 15 feet high at various angles with climbing routes of all levels of difficulty. Evan and I did okay but Vivian was in heaven. She has great arm and hand strength from spending every moment of every recess on the monkey bars. And she loves to climb. Without belaying or harnesses to worry about, she could always fall back on to the soft floor from anywhere. We'll be back.
