Pumpkinville

Can you imagine what five thousand glowing carved pumpkins would look like? Head over to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park zoo in Providence to see it. Hundreds of large pumpkins are intricately carved with images like the one below. There's Kenedy and Audrey Hepburn and iconic scenes from each state and region of the country and children's cartoon characters. And there is the Laughing Tree with hundreds of glowing pumpkins covering several large trees and spooky music and fog makers that pour fog slowly and sinisterly from enormous pumpkins that are over a thousand pounds and bigger than a volkswagen. Vivian called it the pumpkin bar.
