Life on a boat isn't all it's cracked up to be. Even on a 48 foot cat you are right next to a lot to people. Six adults and three children in our case. And you can only get as far away from them as you can swim. For seven days.
The head sucks - nowhere else do you spend so much time managing your turds. And for Jo and me, those of our children too (I even had a phrase - dropping my grandkids off at the pool). The galley is cramped. The fridge is overworked. The ice melts faster than you can go ashore and replenish it. The deck has to be swabbed every morning. Red wine stains everything. Garbage bags tear and spew out yesterday's grilled fish.
I'm missing it already.
