Beware of Boys

Beautiful and happy Olivia brought her parents over for dinner. While we were putting the finishing touches on salad and scallops Evan and Vivian and Olivia were playing. After a short while Evan got so loud and boisterous that Olivia decided to avoid him. When he noticed that he started pursuing her enthusiastically. She in turn took to running when she saw him approach.

Her dad encouraged Olivia's behavior and used the occasion to continue to warn her about boys. And hoped that his advice would stick with her till she was 30.

Alas it's too late to take this approach with Vivian. The other day after school she announced that so-and-so was her boy friend. When Jo glared at her, she said "you know, he's a boy and he's my friend". "So Sam is a boy and Sam is your friend. Is Sam your boy friend too?", Jo inquired. "Oh - he's just a friend" replied Vivian.
