This morning I needed to trim the branches of a huge oak tree that split in three and toppled. While I was sweating it out I had to stop and admire the beauty of prickly pear blossoms and thistle blooms. Even the flowers know it's summer now.

Weekend At Lariat Ridge
It's suddenly hot. We've had a few hot days this spring but they have been surprisingly few and far in between. But that's over and we are heading into the humid hot part of summer. We went back to Carol's and the kids went back to the pool and stayed there all day.
This morning I needed to trim the branches of a huge oak tree that split in three and toppled. While I was sweating it out I had to stop and admire the beauty of prickly pear blossoms and thistle blooms. Even the flowers know it's summer now.
