Yesterday was the last day of the season for Evan's gymnastics class at Crenshaw's. He excelled in most areas but the bear crawl on the parallel bars and the toes-to-rings on the rings were his two favorites.
Evan speaks like someone a lot older. "Daddy, Vivi - who is my sister Vivian but I call her Vivi - did that".
But he still has some interesting speech patterns. He says many words by replacing the first syllable with "me". So "volcano" is "me-cano" and "chrysalis" is "me-salis" and so on. A year ago he used to only say the first part of most words. "Foo" for food, "do" for "dog", etc. And he still calls gymnastics "nastics". By the time he returns to Crenshaw's in fall, that strange but loveable way of saying things will probably be gone.
