Just like with everything else Evan does, one day in the pool he said "I don't need my floatie". A few minutes before that both Jo and I had tried unsuccessfully to get him to try the same. And then this (if you don't see the video below or want to see it on youtube: http://youtu.be/M7AD5IreoOQ).
By later that day he could swim across the width of the pool. He doesn't yet pull his face out of the water and breathe. So his swim distance is still limited by the capacity of his lungs. But he talks so darn much without coming up for air. And swims like that too.
About the sound track. Evan goes "aleo-ac-tiv aleo-ac-tiv" and knows most of the rest of the song. He must have charmed this young lady who checked us into our Iceland Air flight at Boston. Because four hours later (we got to Logan really early) when we were boarding the flight, she said "Hey Radioactive!" and asked him for a high five.
