At the northern end of the Snæfellsnes peninsula lies the small town of Stykkishólmur. We stopped there for a Viking beer and a dinner of fresh seafood and clambered up a cliff at the end of the harbor to a tiny red lighthouse up there.
Stykkishólmur is located at 65°04′30″N. That's as far north as we went. About a degree and a half short of the arctic circle.
