Everyone is pitching in. Evan is the most engaged. He hangs out with Grandpa. Tugs is sheets off him and asks him to wake up. Asks me why "Grandpa not speaking?" Chugs milk and shares animal crackers with him. And grabs his hand and tries to haul him off to the dining room. Even Crazy the cat is doing her part. She just keeps out of his reach and makes him come after her to try and pet her.
But seriously the change is dramatic. Last week he didn't recognize Miguel and Viviana. And didn't acknowledge the Shahs when they visited. Today he was practically chatty with Miguel and Viviana. And he did chat with the Shahs. I know these improvements aren't monotonic. And can't go on for ever. But for now I'm enjoying seeing the positive change in him every day.
