Travel Light

For a while you couldn't get Vivian to leave the house without clutching a toy and a ribbon and a hat and a backpack and a couple of leaves she picked off the porch on the way out - to my admonishments to travel light. Or perhaps because of it.

This is a photo from the day we arrived back in Austin airport from Boston about two weeks ago. The kids double up in Evan's car seat which we put on rollers. They love it. People stop and stare.

It's what I'd like to do. Travel light. Physically. Metaphorically. Emotionally too.
