The blog is still catching up - on an event that happened almost a month ago: Evan's birthday party at the BAM academy. About twenty five kids from 16 (Quinn) to four (Ezri's little brother) completed the parkour course one at a time with a coach timing them.
In this photo you can see Evan doing his turn. Vivian and Ezri are doing areal aerobatics behind him, waiting their turns. And Eason has started his run of the course further behind them. The kids had a blast. Several parents had a go at the American Ninja style wall that you have to run up, some successfully and some not. I couldn't get anywhere close to the bar in my two attempts.

We keep our Costco membership mostly so we can get a birthday cake once a year from there. This time we had no idea what an American Ninja cake should look like. So Jo ordered a plain white top with "Happy Birthday Evan" written along the bottom. Hours before the party, she washed and plonked down one of Evan's plastic ninja swords on top of the cake. Bam - Pinterest ready!
