The municipal election battle in Austin over Uber was different from other elections. People didn't fall into two neat categories based on whether they believe in evolution or not. Just mapping your position to your vote (for or against prop 1) required a Herculian expenditute of mental energy, more than this whole Presidential election cycle has so far required.
It is over, Uber has been banished, but the dust hasn't settled yet. Passionate people, especially the losers (I'm in that category), have continued to gripe about it. Last night Vivian's classmate's mother had a funny post that is worth preserving.
